Betty, a 6th generation Texan, spent 18 years in the fashion business in New York and Paris, where she worked as a designer for several fashion houses. Traveling to China every month, she honed her shopping skills in the markets of Hong Kong, filling her suitcase with everything from bird cages to baubles to Buddhas.

A shopper since birth, Cristiana spent her formative years in San Francisco and Florence, where she developed her fondness for long haired lap dogs, velvet and fine leather. She later added New York, Rio, Washington D.C. and Houston to the list. No matter where home is, she's happiest when she's holding an Italian Clutch.

Betty and Cristiana met by design. They were introduced by their fabulously talented mutual friend, architect Grace Pierce. By no small coincidence, she's their best customer!

The shop, started in a tiny garage on Ferndale, has grown by leaps and bounds and Betty and Cristiana have racked up more than 1 million frequent flier miles traveling across the globe in search of things like that bracelet you're wearing.
